About Us
Palisade Playhouse was imagined on a family road trip between Washington, DC and Pittsburgh.
Since that road trip, we have jumped right in!
Matt has always enjoyed performing musical theatre from when he was a boy through college. He has earned a Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Utah (2010), and a Master's in Music Education from Carnegie Mellon University (2016). Whether it's playing music with his family at home, or directing a choir, music has always been a part of Matt's life. Matt wants people of all walks of life, of all ages, in all career fields to be able to unwind and enjoy creating music and theatre on or off stage.
Michelle's often says "go big or go home." So, moving a theatre from Pittsburgh, PA, to Kimberly, ID, is just another day at the "office." Michelle teaches Let's Play Music - fun piano classes for kids ages 4-9, Sound Beginnings for ages 0-4, and is works with kids and kids at heart to put on productions that people of all ages will enjoy. She has always loved theatre, but has been frustrated that so many shows are inappropriate for children (and her!)! Michelle wants a place for community theatre to thrive with shows that the whole family can enjoy together.
